Optimize your personal best vision

Using the measurement and correction technologies of CustomVue, Vision Plus Medical Group can develop an individualized laser vision correction plan that addresses your unique needs.

CustomVue treatment uses the WaveScan system to measure and map the entire optical path of an eye. The resulting map produces a “fingerprint” of a patient’s vision, providing the doctor with a precise and detailed guide to treatment. “This enables us to correct a patient’s vision so that they get the best possible results,” says Dr. Choe. In the FDA clinical study, 98 percent of patients saw 20/20 or better one year after the CustomVue treatment.

Doctors at Vision Plus Medical Group are using the VISX CustomVue™ technology to provide laser vision correction treatment based on each patient’s personal vision needs.

On procedure day, you will be seated in a reclined position. Anesthetic drops will be placed in your eyes and a flap will be created on your cornea. Your individualized treatment information is transferred from the WaveScan to the laser in order to drive the CustomVue procedure. The actual laser procedure typically takes several seconds. Most individuals feel no pain during the procedure.

After CustomVue, you will notice results immediately, and your vision will continue to improve over the next few days. Typically, you will be scheduled for a follow-up visit the next day, again in about a week, and again around a month after the initial procedure.

Dr. Choe offers the VISX CustomVue LASIK procedure, which allows up to a 9mm treatment zone. In a clinical study, four times as many people were very satisfied with their night vision after the procedure as compared to their night vision before with glasses or contact lenses.
One year after the CustomVue LASIK procedure, patients in a clinical study reported these without glasses or contact lenses:

Four times as many clinical study participants were very satisfied with their night vision after the VISX CustomVue procedure, compared to their night vision before with glasses or contacts.
